"300th Anniversary of the First Ukrainian Constitution requires Special Attention and Respect on the Part of the State Authority", Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasised during the interview for the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Ukraine. M. Tomenko briefed that 5 April if the day of the 300th Anniversary from the day of adoption of Hetman Pylyp Orlyk Constitution.
"It is obvious that his intellectual legal memorial is to be known not only for the Ukrainian society but as well it is extremely important for the evaluation of the scientific level of Ukrainian elite of that period", the Deputy Chairman emphasised.
At the same time, M. Tomenko expressed regret that the President and the Government failed to pay special attention to this date. He stated that except celebrations organized by the Ministry of Justice, there are no other occasions dedicate to the anniversary in Ukraine.
M. Tomenko also announced that he, as a Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the author of the study "History of Ukrainian Constitution" would take part in the celebrations in Moldova Republic.
In the course of Moldova Republic visit, M. Tomenko will take part in International scientific-practical conference "Role and Significance of P. Orlyk Constitution in the Formation of Democratic Institutions in Eastern Europe" that will be held on 9 April in Tiraspol, opening of the memorial sign on the occasion of 300th Anniversary from the day of adoption of Hetman Pylyp Orlyk Constitution in Bendery city and other celebrations dedicated to this date.
